WORLD LEPROSY DAY CELEBRATION - Jan 2024
The theme for World Leprosy Day 2024 was “Beat Leprosy.” In commemoration of World Leprosy Day, the Community Physiotherapy Department of St. Andrews College of Physiotherapy organized a Speech and Skit Competition on 31st January 2024. As per the discussion, Students were given guidelines a couple of days prior to prepare speech and skits. The students from first to final year participated in the speech competition providing education on Leprosy, preventive and control measures. Students also performed skits through role play and videos focusing on the need to create awareness regarding Leprosy, reduction of social stigma and the availability of free medications and treatment services and schemes from the Government and Importance of Physiotherapy in Leprosy rehabilitation programs.
